With a new year comes a new outlook for the Cumbria Horse Trials programme of events. Our values remain entirely focused on providing and supporting affiliated competitions. There will be 5 British Eventing fixtures split between Frenchfield and Warwick Hall running between early May and mid September. There will also be 5 British Dressage Quest fixtures from May to August.
The purpose of all our events will be to challenge riders who are fit, well trained and ready to compete. Working closely with British Eventing we will ensure we offer the widest range of classes, encompassing all the grass roots levels, the junior programme and the newly introduced BE90 team challenge too. With the British Dressage Quest series we can offer a very relaxed way to begin affiliated dressage competitions in such a fast growing sport.
There will also be opportunities to train with BE coaches. We will be highlighting a series of recommended services and products relating to peak performance within the sport.
The horse trials scene over the past few years has become established and sees many equestrian centres commanding availability in the market and whilst this gives many opportunities for newcomers to the sport it is also placing some pressure on the growth and regulation of the sport. Cumbria Horse Trials in 2020 will continue to offer only the best affiliated systems, procedures and safety methods in close association with BE and BD.
We look forward to seeing all our wonderful volunteers for the annual gathering on Sat 18th January at Bampton Village Hall.
