A weekend of classic horse trials

With green parkland and set amongst some magnificent oak trees and with the River Eden in the background all went off exceptionally well at Warwick Hall (1).  The BE80T sections started the weekend enjoying the galloping terrain over their 16 fence course and it was a similar report for the BE90 sections.  The BE100 riders found their track more challenging with a number failing to jump into the water at fence 11A and not finding an accurate and forward line over the Cottage & Corner Combination at 9ab – although  a number were a little backward and failed to get over the first element perhaps expecting the jump to come to them!  Nevertheless the course saw faults spread widely including some caught out jumping Fence 15 Harry The Hedgehog on the banks of the river.  The Novice classes were very well attended and saw some super riding.

For those interested in the stats for the BE100 track take a look below.  The overall clear round rate was 64%.
