Entries for Dalston Green(2) scheduled for 10/11 September are open on www.bdwp.co.uk/dg2 from Friday 5th Aug, with ballot date set for Friday 19th Aug and a late entry surcharge date on Tuesday 23rd Aug. Dalston Green will include BE80, 90 and 100 classes and includes a trial BE105 class along with a Mitsubishi Motors Cup BE90 Regional Final.
The BE105 class aims to bridge the gap between BE100 and Novice with the cross country being sufficiently demanding and technical to allow a successful competitor to progress to Novice, yet fair enough to allow riders and horses not yet ready for Novice to gain confidence and education and build towards that next level. The course will specifically have a greater number of technical questions than the BE100 with around 4 combinations, one of these with three elements and including a narrow fence. Alternatives will be incorporated into the course. The new water fence will of course be used and this will have both a step down and step up out. There may be up to 26 jumping efforts to be ridden at a speed of 500 metres per minute. The maximum height will be 1.05m and the max top spread 1.2m. The dressage phase will use Test N110.
We expect a strong entry for all the classes scheduled and in particular the BE90 RF.
An early entry to help us plan the sectioning is always appreciated – and competitors can avoid late entry surcharges by making their entry by Monday 22nd Aug or earlier.
