Well a week is a long time in eventing and the weather has once again played its hand across the country with horse trial abandonment disappointing many competitors, owners, supporters and organisers and indeed it has been keeping us both on and off-site at our new Frenchfield venue. Nevertheless, there has been considerable progress around the cross country courses where building works have produced many traditional post, rail and palisade type fences. Harry the Hedgehog has been sited over looking the football stadium, albeit without his birch coat, and there are now portables positioned in anticipation of the BE Course Inspection taking place on Tuesday 20th with Jonathan Clissold as our appointed BE Technical Adviser. It might have been wishful thinking but we were convinced there were signs of the pastures greening up this week – slowly! Huge thanks once again to John, Ann and Thomas Collier for their invaluable assistance providing materials, machinery and support to get this new event up and running. We are looking for just a few more fence sponsors so if you have the contact and generosity to help us then kindly be in touch with email@example.com. Thank you.
