The new year brings much more Arena Eventing with Rounds 5-8 in the Maiden Marine sponsored Cumbria Horse Trials Winter Series between now and the end of March and there are 5 riders in close contention for the Accumulator Challenge with April Jackson 15 points, Mary Richardson 15 points, Isla Davies 13 points, Steve Hartley 13 points and Lottie Walsh 12 points all holding double digit points already.
Out in front in the Team Accumulator are newcomers, the Lancashire Lions, on 32 points followed closely by Northern Belles on 30. With 4 more rounds to go, Round 5 at Blackdyke on Sunday 29th January looks set to change the leaderboards again with all the top riders and many more already entered. There are however just 4 more days to enter Round 5 at the discounted price! ENTER here
Where would we be without volunteers in the equestrian world? Well, the Cumbrian scene like everywhere would certainly be poorly served if it wasn;t for the army of willing helpers, many of whom are very expert in what they do, but we are keen to hear from many more riders and their families prepared to offer some days throughout the year and we now have a ‘Ride For Free’ incentive scheme to get more of you involved and details can be found HERE
Looking ahead to spring and summer we can now offer some scheduled XC Schooling Days when you can bring your trainer and friends or Club Members to either Dalston Green or Warwick Hall to enjoy much of the BE Affiliated courses prior to tackling an Eventer Derby or indeed entering the next BE Event. There will also be schooling on offer at Greenlands and Nord Vue.
Talking of Greenlands – have you seen the new sign yet? And, look out for the upcoming Grasshoppers Series scheduled for the summer…
