Looking ahead to the third Waitings Warwick Hall Cup fixture next weekend our leading contenders are Hannah Broadhurst from Lanark riding Spike III with 2 first placings and now entered for BE90 Sec H; Sally Robinson from Alnwick with Cooley Conker with a 1st & 2nd and entered in BE100 Sec E; Emma Corner from Malton with Iamwotiam also with a 1st & 2nd and entered in Novice Sec A. Also in contention and requiring a further 1st place to equal Hannah are Clare Chapplehow with t…he consistent Crackenthorpe Wanikiy entered in BE90 Sec H, Ashleigh Hale from Milnthorpe with Coathamdene Salt n Pepper entered in the Airowear BE80T Sec L and, the current Robinson Udale Cumbria Riders Challenge Trophy leader Natalie Ireland from Kendal riding her Cherokee Brave.
With a full entry we look forward to welcoming competitors once again to enjoy the sandy going along the banks of the River Eden.
The team have been out preparing the courses which see a move for the XC Start and Finish forward and the extension of the Novice course further along the hill to meet a new combination fence. Around half of the fences on each course has either been altered or sees additional elements and the BE100 will now jump directly into the water fence (an alternative has been provided.) Some 1000 different horses will hopefully have benefitted from their run either at Warwick Hall 1,2 or 3 by the end of the weekend!
More news and pictures as the week progresses and at present the weather forecast remains good into the weekend.
